Really nice still life.

A+++ Grade Photo
Thanks Jarrah, rodocrozit and Timothy. Much appreciated.
Now that’s what I call a camera!!! Like the sepia effect, really goes well with the composition and it’s great to have something with *that* sort of history.
Got any plans to shoot with it?
Thanks Jon. I’ve used it a few times, many years ago when film was more freely available. It is not easy to source now and it is hellishly expensive.
Cool. Does it take 4×5 film or some other size (there are quite a few different sizes of film).
Yes Jon, it does take a 4×5 film size.
Lovely shot Ian – looks like you have some nice toys knocking about the place over there
When I was in the ‘states last, I was chatting to a woman in Adorama who shot everything on 10×8 transparency film…

Seen on a rss aggregator. (?)
Thanks John. Amazing how one accumulates stuff over the years!
Thank you Lyn. Where will technology be in 100 years from now? Scary!
Unreal … I remember seeing that once in the study in Kloof. It lived in a wooden box above the medicine chest for a short while I think. I probably got it down without you knowing
Memories of that house and time are now flooding back like crazy!
I had no idea you still had all this stuff – some of it I’ve never even seen!!!!!
Great shot this – very "atmospheric"
Thanks Mike. Amazing how things can jog the memory and open up a vista of memories.
I had to hide some of them from you and your brother in case you tried to open them up to see how they worked – as you did with some of your toys I recall!

Hey, I still have my original Kodak X-15 camera at home if you’re interested. Think they still make flash cubes?
These ponies seem just as "wild" as the ones on Assateague. Hide the doritos. Actually, the assateague ponies are pretty evil.
So like… Why bring dog bowls if there is no dog? And what’s a camelback!? confused
a camelback is a little backpack that contains water.
and she probably brought the dog bowls just because they are attached..
hmmm… camelback is a pretty intuitive term, then.
I brought the dog bowl by accident. It’s always just attached to my camelback (good call Carolyn) and the last time I went hiking without a dog was over a year ago — March 2005. Luckily it doesn’t weigh that much. It was just funny when I realized 6 miles in– "Wait a second– why do I even have this?!?".
By the way– Camelbacks RULE. Mine carries two liters of water and is much lighter than it would be if I did what I used to do– carry a fleet of plastic bottles.
I’m going to venture a guess that 2 liters of water weighs about the same no matter how you pack it
